I loved the tribal detail and flattering cut of Disaya's quirky little black dress, but at £300 from Coco Ribbon, it's a little above most people's price range for something so simple. Never fear, inspired by Gok's turn with the cummerbund (sorry, 'cumberband') on Gok's Fashion Fix last week, I took one look at the dress and knew a high street customisation was in order. Take one £25 bubble hem dress from New Look, add a wrap sash belt from ASOS.com (worn backwards so the buckle doesn't show) and you've got a decent approximation of the dress, with the added bubble hem. Finally, you need a tribal piece to draw attention to the neck. On eBay I found a vintage Kenneth Jay Lane necklace going for peanuts. You know nobody else will have it, and it's the perfect piece of statement jewellery. Tack it down at the back of the dress to keep it in place.
