British retailers are upgrading their online presence with two of our favourite stores launching new websites. First up, we told you that Liberty of London was going transactional in March, now their e-commerce site has gone live. The site is starting off by selling homewear, gifts, and Liberty's highly sought-after print fabrics, eventually expanding to designer fashion and accessories in September. In the meantime, you can drool over its new shoe boutique, featuring heels from Stella McCartney to YSL, which is set to open 1st August.

Also experiencing a major revamp is the Whistles website, which relaunched this week. Headed up by Jane Shepherdson, the brand-spanking new site is also transactional and includes new features such as style tips, outfit suggestions, and zoom-in functions.

Since taking on the label earlier this year, Shepherdson has been on a mission to revitalise the brand, while retaining its heritage. Despite the relaunch, the company told Drapers that the new website 'did not reflect its new positioning completely and that there would be more developments at a later date.'

In other words - watch this space.
