Jessica Simpson's style labelled as 'porn star'

Poor old Jessica Simpson... she hasn't had a good run of it lately, has she? First the pop star-turned-country music singer cops an earful from Pamela Anderson over that whole 'Real Girls Eat Meat' T-shirt business, and now she is being compared to a porn star by the press after wearing this dress on a trip to Lake Tahoe (picture, right).

"To some of her fans, she is a fashion icon and style personified," reported the Daily Mail. "But we suspect even her most ardent followers won't be copying Jessica Simpson's porn star look."

While it's certainly not something I'd opt for, say... if I was attending a business luncheon, or meeting the in-laws, I'm not convinced that it quite warrants porn star status. After all, this is surely one look that even Pammy herself wouldn't object to, right?
