Giorgio Armani receives the Légion d'Honneur
As usual it has been a big week for Mr Giorgio Armani. The Italian designer started the week off by presenting his Armani Prive collection at Paris Couture Week, and ending it by receiving the Légion d'Honneur from French president, Nicolas Sarkozy.
"France loves talent and France is not afraid to embrace foreign talent," Sarkozy said of Armani, at the low-key affair held at the Winter Garden at the Elysée Palace.
Friends of the designer including Dame Helen Mirren, Lady Helen Taylor, Tina Turner, and Carine Roitfeld, the editor-in-chief of French Vogue, were all in attendance.
