Everyone's talking about... Who made Vanity Fair's 69th annual Best-Dressed List (and who didn't)
One more reason to look forward to the September '08 issue of Vanity Fair (besides a fold-out cover of supermodels) is its annual International Best-Dressed List. Everyone is buzzing about who made this year's list (and who didn't), which predictably attracts the annual backlash along with it. So who made the 69th list? I'll tell you after the jump...
There are the obvious ones of course, including Carla Bruni-Sarkozy and Sarah Jessica Parker, although its her first time on the list, thanks to a SATC resurgence, and not her cheap-o range for the now defunct Steve & Barry's... one would imagine.
Us Brits get a few nods again, with Tilda Swinton, Daniel Craig, David Beckham (minus Victoria), and Kate Middleton. However, I'm inclined to agree with the Guardian when it says that most of those who made the list aren't self-made style icons but instead pay others a generous fee to do the styling for them.
Personally, it's the supermodel cover that I'm hanging out for in this issue.
