Alex Evans is Britain's Next Top Model

Surrey school girl Alex Evans has been crowned Britain's Next Top Model. The 19-year-old beat out her pal, Catherine Thomas, to win the title, as well as a contract with Models 1, a Max Factor ad campaign, and a photo-spread with Company magazine (see image, left). The final episode aired Tuesday night, in which the remaining contestants took part in a photo-shoot in South Africa.

"Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I could achieve anything like this," said Alex. "But now I have proved myself wrong."

"This girl blossomed before my eyes," added judge Lisa Snowdon.
