mariasharapova_shortsdaytwo.jpgAs we mentioned yesterday, Russian tennis beauty, Maria Sharapova, modelled her new tailored shorts ensemble on day two of Wimbledon.

The number three seed looked stylish in her new threads, featuring shorts instead of the usual skirt, designed especially for her by Nike. But she wasn't the only one to turn heads...

Serena Williams also sported a new sartorial look, choosing a white belted Burberry mac for her warm-up session. At the press conference after the match, fashion seemed to dominate the conversation.

'It's definitely not athletic attire," Williams said. "But it's ladylike and I'm very ladylike. It goes perfect with my personality and everything else. It's definitely kind of retro inspired; buckles on the wrist, the waistband tie. You can tie it or button it."

While others seem loathe to agree with ladies in shorts on court, we couldn't be more pleased.
