As the world mourns the loss of Yves Saint Laurent, 71, who passed away on Sunday, several notable figures have offered their condolences for the master designer.
Fashion heavy-weights from all over the world have paid their respects to YSL, including Naomi Campbell who is due to appear in YSL's forthcoming autumn campaign.
"I spent lots of great moments with Yves Saint Laurent; I did so many campaigns with him," she said. "It feels really surreal for me to be doing the fall campaign without him, but I heard he was happy that I was back in the campaign."
Other Brits to offer their condolences include Vivienne Westwood, Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen, who said: "He is the reason why I am in fashion."
Meanwhile, the real cause of his death has been publicly revealed as brain cancer.
"He didn't suffer at all," said friend Pierre Bergé. "He didn't know what was happening to him."
Bergé also said that Saint Laurent had been diagnosed in April 2007 with brain cancer, and his health quickly deteriorated. Funeral services for YSL have been arranged for Thursday afternoon in Paris, with French President Nicolas Sarkozy expected to attend.
His final resting place will be at Majorelle Garden in Marrakech, a garden that he owns with Bergé. It is here that the iconic designer's ashes will be scattered, and where he will bid his last au revoir.
