naomicampbell_nelsonsbirthday.jpgShowing off her new man yesterday was Naomi Campbell who attended celebrations for Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday, despite being struck from his concert line up list.

According to news reports, the troubled supermodel was dropped from appearing as a presenter for the star-studded bash due to her latest run-in with the law.

"The man himself intervened and she was pulled off the list. He was disappointed with her recent arrest," a source said.

Nevertheless, Noames put on a smile and fronted up to the lavish party held in Hyde Park. She donned a black chiffon, almost see-through gown by Azzedine Alaia, and brought along her new beau, Marcus Elias.

Last week, Campbell was ordered to complete 200 hours worth of community service, as punishment for her meltdown at Heathrow airport. From the courtroom, she flew straight to Milan where she took to the catwalk in a rare appearance for the Dolce & Gabbana menswear show.

"People were disappointed by what happened - in the past she had spoken to Mandela about her anger - notwithstanding the fact that she was wearing the [Mandela's charity] baseball cap when she was arrested. It's not the behaviour of a charity ambassador," the source added.

Other high profile guests to attend the celebrations yesterday included Oprah Winfrey, Gordon Brown, Bill Clinton, Elton John, Robert De Niro, Will Smith, Uma Thurman, and Bob Geldof.
