Graduate Fashion Week: Nottingham
Paul Smith's old university always delivers on its high expectations and this year was no different.
Alicia Stone's collection featured a satisfying palette of grey, mustard, purple and red enlivened with checks. Geometric shapes and drapery combined to give a feminine but strong look.
Prada-esque digital watercolour prints were the highlight of Laura Cooney's collection. The prints were put to good use in playsuits, dresses and high waisted shorts. She also used blocks of orange and green to clash things up.
Paperbag waists and '40s prints gave a retro feel to Daisy Woolins' collection. Voluminous dresses, a vintage-style bikini and a revamped trench carried on the old-style glamour reminiscent of Agatha Christie.
