guiness_directorialdebut.jpgDaphne Guinness (pictured left with Stella McCartney) looks set to make her directorial début, when she unveils her short film Phenomenology of Body, during Paris couture week.

The style maven's four-and-a-half minute art installation/film features iconic females in history, as portrayed by Guinness herself.

Thirteen historic women, including Joan of Arc and Marie Antoinette, are represented in Guinness's works which are choreographed to light and music.

"It's about the body and the soul, concealing and revealing, empowerment; clothing has always been so political," said Guinness."The message is that we all have the power to choose."

You can soon catch still shots of Daphne's presentation on T: The New York Times Style Magazine's website.
