Bad news: Chris Moyles is not interested in Catwalk Queen (we always preferred Aled anyway)

Many thanks to Lucy for letting us know CQ got a mention on Chris Moyles' Radio 1 show this morning. It seems Chris isn't too impressed with our site...

Chris: Aled, why have you got Catwalk Queen up on my internet browser?
Aled: It's not me. I haven't been on your computer at all.
Chris: I'm not interested in Catwalk Queen!
Aled: What is it?
Chris: Catwalk Queen...it's your very own personal stylist.
All: oohhhh
Aled: It does sound good!
Chris: Whatever.

Ah well, Chris, if you ever change your mind I know of a few ladies here who'd take great joy in giving you a makeover. And Aled, you're welcome for tea and cupcakes any time...

Karren, I'm actually quite shocked and very upset that you think we are keen to put all the other blogs and fashion websites down. I'm not sure where you got that impression from, but that is not the case at all and I'd be really interested to know why you feel that way so I can take steps to change that.

At Catwalk Queen we link to every source we use regardless of how big or small. We do a daily or bi-daily blog round-up of what we've seen other fashion blogs. We've interviewed other bloggers, hired them to help us at events and made some great friends in the online community. We have put together special features like our 'top 100 fashion & lifestyle blogs' to highlight other sites we love. Every member of our staff reads and comments on other blogs, and we are always keen to support them. I have mentioned many times in interviews the names of other blogs I enjoy in hopes of promoting other members of the community who have amazing talent.

How this can be seen as putting people down is beyond me?

As for your other point, obviously Shiny is a business and as such has to make money to keep the site going. I'm not going to deny that. But to call my bosses capitalists...well, I just wish you could meet them and see how completely off the mark that is!

To be fair he has a point. There are so many fashion blogs out there and this really isn't that special. Sorry folks at Shiny but you guys always seem so keen to put all the other blogs and fashion websites down rather than support them. This actually makes you look quite weak amongst the online community. It's also clear that the only reason shiny is around is that you are run by capitalists whose only motivation is £££ at the end of the day. Surely that's taking some of the magic out of blogging!?
