Alexa Chung spills on Gok's Fashion Fix: "I'll be covered in mud when I meet Karl Lagerfeld"
From Popworld to Gok's Fashion Fix, Alexa Chung's enviable style seems to have finally paid off for her. As the new roving reporter for Gok Wan's forthcoming fashion series, the 24-year-old recently spilled the beans on her latest career move.
"I'm going to Glastonbury,' she told the Telegraph, "and the day after, I'm flying to Paris to do a piece [for Gok's Fashion Fix] behind the scenes at a couture show. So I'll be covered in mud when I meet Karl Lagerfeld. It's going to be excellent".
Also on Chung's hit list for the show, those "Gwyneth Paltrow skyscraper heels".
"We got a team of runners to go to a racetrack and run in all the season's highest heels. It was the funniest thing I've ever seen".
On whether we'll ever see her other project - a Channel 4 doco on sweatshops titled The Devil Wears Primark - Chung reassures us that we will.
"It definitely will go out. Panorama are putting one out, too, so there's a race to get them out. But I think they'll be different."
Meanwhile, Chung also lets slip that she gets changed three times a day when she is at home (erm... okay!?) and her trend predictions for next season - "I think people are gonna go for the Sound of Music vibe this autumn".
I better start stocking up on some peasant-style smocks then.
