Get your diaries out girls, because the Sex and the City movie world première will definitely be taking place in London on 12th May!

A spokesperson for New Line cinemas confirmed our suspicions on Monday by announcing that it will show in Leicester Square, two weeks before it's much-anticipated début in New York.

"London will be much smaller," the spokesperson said. "The whole cast isn't even going."

But don't panic, the fabulous four will be making the trip over here - Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis have all been confirmed for the London première.

However, other cast member such as Chris Noth (Mr Big) and Jennifer Hudson will be missing out.

"It was simply a question of logistics and scheduling. We're still planning the big première to be in New York," he said.

For those New Yorkers feeling robbed over the decision, don't despair. New Line have a major event planned for you too. The spokesman also revealed that the NY premiere will take place on 27th May at Radio City Music Hall, followed by a star-studded bash at the Museum of Modern Art.

Meanwhile, to any New Line folks reading this - please feel free to send invites to the London event Catwalk Queen's way... Kthxbi!
