Sex and the City: the movie premieres in New York - finally!
Sex and the City: the movie opened in the US overnight, in the city where it all began - New York. Loyal fans, still bitter about the film's world première in London, were finally treated to a glitzy début at Radio City Music Hall, where their favourite leading ladies traipsed the pink Swarovski-studded carpet.
Crowds gathered to welcome Sarah Jessica Parker (in Nina Ricci), Kristin Davis (in Donna Karan), Kim Cattrall (in Vivienne Westwood) and Cynthia Nixon (in Narciso Rodriguez). As well as other cast members Jennifer Hudson, Chris Noth and Jason Lewis.
"It feels otherworldly," Parker said of the Big Apple reception. "It's one of the great nights of my professional career."
A few of the other A-listers to attend the highly anticipated event included Ashley Olsen, Fergie, Emmy Rossum, Anna Wintour, Bette Midler and designers Zac Posen and Badgley Mischka.
