Harold Tillman collects university award; considers selling Jaeger
It is a busy time for British Fashion Council chairman Harold Tillman. This week, he was awarded an Honorary award from the University of Arts in London.
Tillman joined designer Yohji Yamamoto in collecting his award, which have previously been given to Giorgio Armani, Alexander McQueen and John Galliano.
In the meantime, Drapers is reporting that Tillman is considering selling Jaeger, of which he owns a 70 per cent. After he bought the troubled business back in 2003, it is believed that he has been approached several times to buy the label.
"The label will be 125 years old next year and we have an enviably strong brand. I am often approached about my various business interests and it is important to constantly reassess your position," he told The Sunday Times.
