First look: Jean-Paul Gaultier's tour costumes for Kylie Minogue
There has been lots of talk this week about Kylie Minogue's tour costumes. Like the Spice Girls, Madonna and Lenny Kravitz, the Aussie pop princess has gone designer for her latest world tour, choosing Jean-Paul Gaultier to create her KylieX2008 tour outfits. We have already seen a hint of geisha-influence in Kylie's new promo pictures, but how did the couture-pieces come across on stage?

Kicking off her tour in Paris earlier this week, Kylie paraded a total of eight different outfits throughout the evening, starting with a purple chiffon gown (pictured above) from Gaultier's 2006 autumn couture collection, once modelled by Erin O'Connor, and modified to fit her petite frame.
Minogue also wowed in a series of extravagant costumes including a blue and white cheerleader uniform, with a 'K' logo and sneaker high heels. As well as a thigh-splitting military-style outfit, crystal embroidered corset, slinky blue gown, and a sequinned sailor ensemble.
She continued the sexy geisha theme in a Swarovski studded mesh kimono, in a tour which cost over £10 million to create. Kylie's London shows will mark the end of her European concert circuit at the O2 Arena in August.
