British Soap Awards 2008: The red carpet #2 - Our verdict
The Hollyoaks girls had everyone talking at the British Soap Awards over their fashionable hits and misses. They also picked up the most gongs at the annual television event including awards for Best Actor and Best Actress. But it wasn't what they won but what they wore that has us interested. Here we reveal who we think made the cut and who didn't. Keep reading to hear our verdict...
Scooping our prize for the best-dressed at the BSAs was Jennifer Metcalf who shimmered in this figure hugging bandage dress. Her olive skin glowed against the metallic latte-coloured fabric which was perfectly matched with simple jewellery, shoes and clutch. Fuss-free and sexy, she gets the two thumbs up.
Our verdict on Jennifer's outfit: 9/10
At the other end of the scale and scoring our worst-dressed prize was Hollyoaks' Loui Batley. While I applaud her choice to go for something a little left of centre, the result was OTT (Over The Top). An ill-fitting dress, teamed with a ridiculous fascinator and bright red ruffles was just way too much. The dress is a statement piece in its own right which needed little or no accessories. At least she got the shoes right!
Our verdict on Loui's outfit: 2 / 10
Finally, the gorgeous Hannah Tointon comes in second place for best-dressed in this mini gold sparkly number. Showing off a little leg (but not too much), this young beauty kept everything else pretty and simple with soft curls and a nude shoes. Wearing a bling dress doesn't require extra bling jewellery and Tointon got it right with this rule. Although perhaps a little less fake tan next time.
Our verdict on Hannah's outfit: 8/10
