Audrey Tautou confirmed for Chanel
Like we couldn't see this one coming, and happily so. Chanel has confirmed that Audrey Tautou will be their new brand ambassador.
The French actress replaces Nicole Kidman as the face of iconic fragrance Chanel No.5. Following in the footsteps of Kidman's epic television commercial created by Baz Luhrmann, Tautou will team up again with her Amélie director Jean-Pierre Jeunet to create a new short film due out next year.
Elle managed to snag a shot of the 31-year-old as she attended the Met Costume Institute Gala on Sunday. Tautou, who has also signed on to play Coco Chanel in a new biopic, was a breath of fresh air in a cream feathery ensemble from Chanel Haute Couture.
The Chanel campaign marks the third time that Tautou and Jeunet have worked together, and I am very keen to see in which direction the duo will go. Will it live up to the cinematic feat of Kidman and Luhrmann's film? Or will it take a less dramatic approach?
