blackisbeautifulitalianvogue.jpgThe issue of discrimination within the modelling industry has been highlighted in an upcoming photo-shoot for Vogue Italia.

According to Fashionista, Steven Meisel has shot an entire issue of Vogue Italia using only black models.

Obviously this is a pretty ground-breaking statement, with the aim of getting more magazines and agencies to think more diversely when it comes to editorial. Let's hope that it works!

No news yet on who will feature in the issue or who will make the highly sought-after cover spot, but I have a sneaky suspicion that it could be Naomi Campbell. After all, despite her many turbulent moments, who else has been the biggest campaigner of racial equality in the industry of late? And she seems to be on a winning ticket right now...

Or has Vogue gone with Jourdan Dunn instead? As someone who encapsulates the future face of fashion and what it should stand for.

Only time will tell... I look forward to it immensely.
