Psst... Is Charlotte Gainsbourg Balenciaga's new fall-back girl?
He snagged Jennifer Connelly for his spring 08 campaign, after pursuing her for years, and now he's got his eye on Charlotte Gainsbourg.
Nicholas Ghesquière is rumoured to have tapped the French actress/singer for his next fall campaign for Balenciaga. Gainsbourg, who is the daughter of Jane Birkin and the half-sister of Lou Doillon, is a good friend of Ghesquière's and a regular at the house of Balenciaga.
I really hope this whisper is true, as personally I couldn't think of a more suitable candidate.
