Psst... Is Audrey Tautou Chanel's next No.5 girl?

From Coco to No.5, the step from playing the legendary designer in a new film to fronting Chanel's next fragrance campaign seems like a logical one for Audrey Tautou.

Word on the street is that the French actress is reportedly in talks with Chanel to star in its new commercial for its iconic perfume Chanel No.5.

If the rumours are true, then Tautou could be reuniting with Jean-Pierre Jeunet, her director in Amélie, especially for the campaign.

The gorgeous star has been cast to play Coco Chanel in a new biopic on the French designer. Fans on the pint-sized actress will soon get the chance to see their favourite gal portray Coco in her younger years. Shirley MacLaine is currently at work playing the more mature Chanel in a separate screen project for the Lifetime channel.

Can the Tautou/Jeunet idea outdo the Nicole Kidman/Baz Luhrmann commercial?
