Naomi Campbell flies to Brazil for charity (not on BA!)
Naomi Campbell has escaped her recent dramas by flying to Brazil on a charitable mission, only this time she didn't fly BA.
The troubled supermodel has travelled to the tropical region to raise awareness of Dengue fever, a deadly disease carried by mosquitoes.
Campbell has already visited a blood bank in San Paulo, with further plans to visit those who are suffering from the disease, in the worst epidemic the country has seen in 50 years.
"I have to help Brazil and will donate blood. We can't stand still," she said.
Despite her good intentions, health authorities in Brazil have reportedly rejected her offer to donate blood because she was recently operated on. Campbell underwent surgery in February to remove a cyst. She is a regular visitor to Brazil having spent time at the Bahia Carnival earlier this year.
"Unfortunately I can't give blood for Rio de Janeiro, but I'll surely be back," she told journalists yesterday.
