Naomi Campbell receives lifetime ban from British Airways
UPDATE: No surprises here with the news that Naomi Campbell has been given a lifetime ban from British Airways after she was arrested for spitting at a police officer at Heathrow last week.
The supermodel has been released on bail, pending an investigation over last Thursday's incident when she was forcibly removed from a BA flight, before it was due to take off.
Campbell allegedly spat on an police officer during the row which begun when, according to her spokesperson, one of the bags she had checked in went missing.
While BA are yet to make a formal announcement regarding the incident, a spokesperson did say:
"We don't comment in detail about matters relating to individual passengers. All incidents of abuse against passengers or staff are taken extremely seriously by BA and will not be tolerated. We deal with cases on an individual basis and will take whatever action we feel is necessary."
However, sources have confirmed that Campbell will no longer be allowed to travel with BA.
Following her release on bail, Campbell claimed that she had been racially vilified over the incident, telling a pal that the real reason she was arrested was because she is black.
