Naomi Campbell claims racism over arrest

Naomi Campbell has hit out at authorities, claiming that the real reason she was arrested last week was because she is black.

The supermodel was released on bail on Friday following her arrest at Heathrow airport last week in which she spat on a police officer.

The Sun reports that after her release Campbell told a pal "It just goes to show I have to fight for who I am. It's because I'm black."

Campbell was escorted off the BA flight last Thursday, after she caused a row over how much luggage she was allowed to bring on-board. She will now have to wait to find out whether the police intend to lay charges following further enquiries on suspicion of assaulting an officer.
