77076115.jpgAre you tired of hearing about our talented designers up and leaving us for greener pastures? I, for one, are still mourning the loss of Preen. It's just as well then that Graeme Black doesn't have any immediate plans to decamp from London.

At a luncheon last Thursday, held by Neiman Marcus' John Martens, the Scottish designer revealed that he will continue to show at London Fashion Week,

"I think showing in an intimate setting in London is still right for me," said Black.

During a narration of his looks from his fall collection, Black also reminisced on his early days when he worked with John Galliano.

"My first day working for Galliano, he had me paint the walls. The next day I was cutting chiffon, I've paid my dues," he recalled.

Black also revealed his inspiration for his next spring 2009 collection - the beaches in Scotland. "A lot of people don't realise there are beaches there, they think I'm joking. But I actually went on holiday and got a tan."
