Last night two of our favourite ladies, Gwyneth Paltrow and Helena Christensen, were honoured at the Food Bank of New York City's Can-Do Awards Dinner. The night also marked the 25th anniversary of the charity's hunger-relief programme, whose mission is to give food assistance to those in need.

Helena was looking tanned and lovely as per usual (note to self: must find out which blush she uses!) but Gwyneth's outfit has had a more mixed reaction, with some internet commenters criticising her for "trying too hard" and others saying she looked about ready to "step onto a runway". I'm really loving the shoes, but not sure whether the dress was the best choice for Gwyn.

Meanwhile, Ed Burns and Christy Turlington (aka the cutest couple ever) also turned up to lend their support in fairly tame black and grey - they're just so darn cute though, we'll let that go. Thankfully, Petra Nemcova was there to add a touch of glamour with her cream mini dress, strappy heels and hair I would kill for!
