Psst... Why is Peaches Geldof getting her own reality show as a magazine editor?

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't reality TV require some element of well... reality?! Actually, come to think of it...

Regardless, I'm stumped by the news that Peaches Geldof has been given her own reality show, in which she'll star as a showbiz magazine editor.

According to the Mirror, the daughter of Sir Bob Geldof, will be followed by MTV cameras for a fly-on-the-wall look at how a weekly magazine is put together. A close friend revealed: "She has always loved the world of glossy magazines. But aside from the showbiz parties and celebrity interviews, there will be serious work to be done."

The 19-year-old will be taped as she interviews and picks a team of writers to help her on the magazine. The series will be produced by her father's TV company, Ten Alps.

Talk about a dose of Rachel Zoe déjà vu!

Couldn't they have used a real magazine editor? Or someone who has actual journalistic experience? Would that be so strange?

I think the answer lies in the bit where it says "produced by her father's TV company....".

Went to the interview for this. They interviewed everybody based on their "personality" and not on their experience. I feel for the subs that are going to have to clean up this shit.

I've been offered some freelance work with them though. Haha, she gets the glory and the cash and I do the grunt work. Fun fun.
