Just as news filters in that one of the London moped gang has been sentenced to 26 months' jail time for raids dating back to 2006, we're saddened to hear Anya Hindmarch has once again been the target of those rotten handbag-nicking bandits.

This time, Hindmarch's New Bond Street store was the focus, with the smash-and-grab taking place at about 10.30 last night.

Witnesses revealed two thieves used a sledgehammer to smash through the front window, before swiping thousands of pounds worth of bags and speeding away from the scene on mopeds.

This is the fifth robbery (or attempt) in the Bond Street area in recent weeks. Salvatore Ferregamo was hit last week and a plan to target Jimmy Choo was foiled when the store's electronic security shutters were activated.

Anyone with information about any of the raids can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
