M.I.A. is face of Marc by Marc Jacobs spring/summer 2008

She's well known for her eclectic musical style, having attitude to burn and out-there fashion choices, so it comes as no surprise Marc Jacobs handpicked M.I.A. to be the face of his Marc by Marc Jacobs line for spring/summer 2008.

It seems the talented singer, who recently claimed she was turned away from the designer's fashion week party last season, is now on the inner with Marc. She DJ-ed at his New York show after-party last month, and was photographed by Juergen Teller for the new campaign. The photos have been doing the rounds on the 'net for a little while now and are currently hitting all the glossies.

I think it's fantastic! I just love her fashion sense and how it goes against the grain. I saw her in concert and she's got incredible energy. I think Mr. Jacobs made an excellent choice.

I'm only a fan of one of her songs, but she has a face that I can't take my eyes off of - Marc made an excellent choice with her - beautiful!
