Lauren Conrad makes catwalk debut at LA Fashion Week
It was the moment of truth yesterday for The Hills star Lauren Conrad (L.C.), as she finally made her catwalk debut at Mercedes-Benz LA Fashion Week.
The MTV personality showcased her signature collection at Smashbox Studios, in front of a crowd which included Kristin Cavallari, her former high school rival on Laguna Beach.
Prior to the show, she admitted to being nervous: "It's one thing to have your designs displayed in stores. To have them walk down the runway is a really big deal."
So was her collection worth the wait? Keep reading to see for yourself...
Simple yet sophisticated was the order of the day at L.C's first show, which held remnants of her recent trip to Paris in gloves and berets. Her 30-piece collection, including jersey dresses, high waisted skirts, one-shoulder numbers and tiered frocks was, admittedly, nothing new, but entirely wearable. Which, let's face it, is what her many fans were hoping for.
And what did L.C. herself think of her first LA Fashion Week experience?
"I didn't really get to see it," she said. "I was busy getting them all ready backstage."
