Donatella Versace launches Fashion Fringe 2008 at Claridges
Fashion Fringe began five years ago, in a bid nurture young fashion talent in the UK. Each year, it holds a nationwide search to find the next budding designer with previous winners including Erdem and Gavin Douglas.
"I am very honoured to be joining the committee of Fashion Fringe as their chairperson," Versace said. "This is an event which I have had great interest in since it began in 2004; London has an unbeatable reputation as the originator of unique fashion talent, and it is very exciting for me to be personally involved in discovering and supporting that talent through the Fashion Fringe initiative."
Agyness Deyn, Roland Mouret and Manolo Blahnik, were just a few of the A-list crowd to welcome Versace, who takes over from Tom Ford, to the Fashion Fringe team.
