Designer Alert: Halston headed for UK
There is great news for all you British-based Halston fans who recently missed out on snapping up a piece on Net-a-porter.com - the label is headed for Selfridges!
The newly revived Halston has landed a deal with the British department store, which includes a whole showcase planned for June. The Halston shop-in-shop will offer items from its autumn/winter collection, as well as shoes and handbags.
According to WWD, it will be located on the Super Brands floor, which currently houses Balenciaga and Gucci, at Selfridges flagship store on Oxford Street.
Halston recently made its return to the catwalk at New York Fashion Week. The show was immediately followed by an offer with Net-a-porter.com to sell two of its dresses hot off the runway. Not surprisingly it sold out online within 45 minutes after going live.
