Catwalk Queen desperately needs interns (again)

helpus.jpg

It's that time again! Isabelle is a bit behind in her reading, I'm fielding calls from all our fashion friends ("Miuccia? Can't talk now, Giorgio is on the other line...") and Zara is very busy perfecting her sexy secretary look. In short, we're a bit swamped, and we're looking for some new fashion interns to help us out. We need to book in full-time interns for two week (minimum) work placements from now until the end of June. If you're a London-based fashion student with a CV to pad out, a blogger extraordinaire or just someone with loads of enthusiasm and a love of fashion, you might be the right person for the job. As you can probably tell from our videos and blog posts, and from the fashion week intern diaries, it's great fun being part of this team and we promise to treat you like one of the family!

We need someone who's willing to...

- Live, eat, sleep and breathe Catwalk Queen
- Confidently talk to PRs etc on the phone
- Research features and write blog posts
- Go out and snap street style and film video vox pops
- Love fashion / beauty cupboard (returning samples, tidying etc)
- Compile events calendars & spreadsheets
- Put up with us!

You'll be 18+, able to get to our Covent Garden offices each day and available for a block placement of at least two weeks (5 days a week, 9.30am - 5.30pm). You'll have an excellent knowledge of the internet and blogging. Your spelling will be brilliant, you will know to capitalise the letter 'i' when referring to yourself in your application email (seriously!) and you will be ok with the fact we can't pay you*. Hopefully, you will have also read this.

If you'd like to apply, drop me a line at gemma@shinymedia.com with your CV, your blog address if you have one, some info about you and your interest in fashion and the dates you'd like to come and work with us. Again, we are only looking to book interns for block placements between March - June at this point.

* but we're very generous with goodie bags and can cover basic London travel costs.

I've been looking for an opportunity like this! It seems amazing, the sort of thing I'd really love to do, however I am only 16. Is there any possiblity I could still be considered? If not, then I'll be first in line the moment I turn 18.

    (:

  • if you're looking for summer interns i'd be very interested! i'd love to spend a few weeks in london, let me be the first to know!
