New York Fashion Week: Proenza Schouler A/W 2008

Mimicking the origami trend we saw so much on the London catwalks last season the Proenza Schouler show took a look at the construction of clothes, showing a succession of artfully folded pieces in layers of heavy jewel-toned silk and deconstructed coats with multi-folded collars and revealed linings. Add some double-breasted brocade and oversize pussybow blouses, and you have a collection that's creative, but still commercially viable.
