Berube returns to London Fashion Week this season after a successful six months which has seen them featured in some of the world’s top fashion magazines. This season’s range of monochrome party wear – entitled 'Audrey’s Dance', after the sultry teen temptress, Audrey Horne in cult TV series, Twin Peaks – was jazzed up with snazzy hats from milliner to the stars Noel Stewart. The collection also featured a range of shoes that were surely inspired by the Spice Girls revival – white platform trainers haven’t looked this good since Baby and co. rocked them back in the '90s.

The collection consisted of lots more oily-looking PVC (everyone’s at it!), origami fold skirts, and draped jersey dresses, in a colour scheme predominantly of black and white. Magenta chiffon (matched by the choice of lipstick) and a silvery lace-print leather broke up the collection nicely. Spontaneous black marker pen drawings were apparently the starting point for Berube, and the fluid, angular creations represented this – my scribbles have certainly never looked this good.
