Straight after the Marios Schwab show (loved it, loved it, loved it) it was back onto the Piccadilly Line (my spiritual home for the week) to have a butcher's at Schwab's polar opposite, Betty Jackson...

I'd like to take this opportunity and make an admission - I actually really like Jackson's stuff. No, it's not weird and wonderful, as per the Schwabster, but she always produces a beautifully considered collection that on the one hand is supremely wearable, and on the other has a few surprises to keep you interested. I'm not the only one who's a fan, check out the classy alpha females on the front row: Lulu Guinness, Davina McCall, Victoria Wood and Jennifer Saunders. I had to fight the urge not to shout "Eddie darling! It's me, Patsy!" Sweetie darlings...
Jackson, bless her cottons, may well be the saviour of many next winter in unstructured, tactile satin XXXXX
