Hmm... I don't know quite what I feel about this - Lindsay Lohan imitating Marilyn Monroe in her final photo session with famed photographer Bert Stern, known as "The Last Sitting". Six weeks after the shoot, Monroe was found dead of an apparent barbiturate overdose. Forty-six years later, Lohan is posing bombshell-style for the latest issue of New York magazine, also shot by Stern. “I didn’t have to put much thought into it. I mean, Bert Stern? Doing a Marilyn shoot? When is that ever going to come up? It’s really an honour,” she said.

While it might seem an odd choice, I mean what has Lohan done so far that is even remotely in the same region as what Monroe achieved (besides struggle with addiction?) But there is obvious similarities... both were/are fodder for the tabloids, whose lives dramatically changed from their constant media exposure. Having said that, when seeing the original prints at an exhibition in Paris last year, I never ever could have pictured anyone else in the photos and, I must admit, I still can't.

Lindsay is not nearly as hot as Marilyn. Compare the first photo. Marilyn holds up 46 years later. Lindsay looks terrible. I can't believe she O.K.'d this.
She looks gorgerous, she's more voluputous then marilyn but still incredable, I can't imagine what an honour it is to do this project and pose as marilyn, this amazing icon. i wouldn't turn it down.

Lindsey looks pretty dreadful. I can't believe this is a girl in her early 20s. She looks 15 years older.

Poor old Lohan - looking at these pics it's hard to remember how adorable she was in 'Mean Girls' (which was, what, just 4 years ago?). It's a fairly sobering warning about the pills'n'booze 'celebrity' lifestyle that she's been living; she looks almost double her real age these days. I can understand the comments from all the haters - she's no Marilyn, that's for sure - but really I just find the whole thing deeply sad.
OMG! What was that magazine thinking! My husband is a great Marilyn Monroe fan and is appalled at this whole disgusting thing! I totally agree with the earlier comments about how old Lindsay is looking these days. She should stop trying to be like someone else and look inside to find herself.

Eww, she's so fugly. I cant believe it that once upon a time she was actually pretty. And now she looks like trash. There is no comparision between her and Marilyn. Neither the face (gasp) and definitely not the body. Lindsay looks strange. Christina Aguilera would look better for a Marilyn shoot.
Lindsay looks like a little girl playing dress-up... the photos don't have the same power because she is not yet sexually mature, like Monroe obviously was. Also, to give her the benefit of the doubt, if it is the same photographer, he is probably pretty old and fugly by now, too! I'd find it hard to look seductive across a camera lens from a man probably old enough to be my grandfather.
