Happie Loves It

Happie Loves It were one of the stall-holders at the London Fashion Week exhibition, and I also just recently discovered their boutique in Covent Garden (turns out they're just a minute away from Shiny Towers!).

Stocked full of cute, Japanese-inspired clothing, their name is an apt description of their ethics: design duo Sean and Happie's primary concern is to make clothes that are"comfortable, fun and prehaps most importantly make the person wearing it feel happy". Originally stocking their offerings in a concession at Topshop's Oxford Street boutique, they garnered a healthy following before moving out to set up their own shop.

I love their simple, youthful designs with quirky details - a highlight is this adorable asymmetric 'Cina' shirtdress (pictured above). Costing £89, the 100% breathable cotton means it's perfect for summer days out. Featuring signature golden buttons, its ultra-flattering cut has runching in all the right places, and the range of colours make it fresh and joyous.

Also check out their pretty little 'Kiti' dress, another key piece in this season's collection. The blossom print fit the ubiquitous floral trend while retaining an air of oriental sublimity. This cute silky poly-satin mix retails at £75. Visit the Happie Loves It boutique on Drury Lane, London, where there are plenty of other delights to browse through... including gold-buttoned, polkadot funnel-necked shirts (very on-trend!) and pretty flower corsages. It'll put a smile on your face.
