Eva Mendes named as new face of Calvin Klein fragrance

Eva Mendes will star in Calvin Klein's new fragrance campaign, it was revealed this week. The gorgeous actress follows in the footsteps of Scarlett Johansson, Kate Moss and Christy Turlington, in being tapped for the as-yet-unnamed fragrance.

"We've been looking at Eva for a while, not just for Calvin," revealed Catherine Walsh, senior vice president of American Fragrances for Coty Prestige. "Her awareness and likability have been on the rise since 2003 — she consistently generates a very positive response. Both men and women find her incredibly attractive, fit and sexy. And because her awareness is growing worldwide, we are planning this fragrance as a global launch," she added.

While no further details of the campaign were given, it has been suggested that Mendes is earning a pretty penny for her troubles. An estimated pay packet between £1.5 and £2.5 million is what some industry sources are speculating. Really? Is that all?
