You might have noticed Tilda Swinton's diamond studded bracelet but while all the Oscars festivities was going on Diamani, the company who lent Tilda the bracet, was being looted by thieves.
The criminals managed to steal £10 million worth of jewellery under 40 minutes which no mean feat! The story gets even more fantastical as you hear that the gang dug a tunnel from an unused cellar and seven of the thieves donned fake Guardia di Finanza uniforms.
Thankfully no-one was hurt in the incident which saw staff members bound and locked in toilets. Diamani's most valuable pieces had been shipped to the US for the company's Oscar party at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel but diamond-studded gold necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings were among the items missing.
