CQ's clothes swap at Shiny Towers

clothesswapshiny.jpg
On Tuesday Shiny Towers was awash with clothes (well, more than usual!) as we had our first ever clothes swap. Mad props go to Tech Digest's Kat for bringing in a suitcase full of cast offs. We spent a lunchtime trying on jeans, tops dresses but no undies thanks! It was strange seeing your colleagues try on that top from Primark you never wore and there was one pretty dress from Topshop everyone tried on that didn't seem to fit anyone what ever size they were.

Have a go in your office, school or college, all you need to do is stick some posters up and pick a time when everyone is free. We all found at least one item that took our fancy and are currently fighting over who will take the leftovers to the charity shop!

Yes everyone should have a go at this! It's so much fun - but next time charge £1 per item - I raised £90 for womens refuge just before Xmas, it is such an easy way to raise money - and it's recycling as well. I got a prearranged person to picvk up the leftovers and take them to an animal sanctuary (to sell you fools - not wear!!!) - and it left everyone with that rightous glow that eco shopping can bring - unlike the slightly sneaky feeling after a Primark splurge or a Marc Jacobs blowout!!
