Lily Donaldson to my left, Pop's Katie Grand to my right... that was the scene backstage at the Giles show on Wednesday night. I was lucky enough to be invited by The Carphone Warehouse for a sticky nose behind-the-scenes. Amidst a flurry of hair and makeup teams, photographers and models, I managed to jot down the looks for the Giles show, to get a sense of what the designer was trying to achieve. Hair was plaited to resemble a horse's tail, it was also bunched for the second look so those veil scarves, which covered the models faces entirely, could be wrapped around S&M style. Makeup was also keep rather dramatic with a mostly bare face and dark lipstick; nails were dipped in bright red polish. There were rumblings that Agyness Deyn was running late, but a total no-show only fuelled speculation that the Brit model is currently under the weather, poor poppet!

If there was any doubt of Giles's affiliation with the new Blackberry Pearl 8110 Pink, you only had to look around - everything from the marquee to the cocktails were bight pink, kind of like our own Shiny Shiny. Celebrating the launch of the new Blackberry, Giles has teamed up with The Carphone Warehouse to create a limited-edition pouch to keep your handset safe and sound. It's a nifty replacement for all those boring mobile protectors, and I'm sure fashionistas will be fond of its quilting - a reminder of this season's Giles duvet styling (above, right).
