Psst... Bruce Oldfield goes from gowns to McDonald's staff uniforms
It's perhaps the strangest collaboration I've heard on the grapevine for a while. British designer Bruce Oldfield, best known for his occasion wear and for dressing the likes of Princess Diana (see him pictured left with Diana in 1988), is apparently going to design a new staff uniform for McDonald's... uh-huh!
The news was uncovered by Jessica Brinton of the Sunday Times' Style magazine, whose friend caught a glimpse of a 2008 McDonald's marketing strategy over a fellow passenger's shoulder on, where else, but the Tube.
I can just picture it now, Maccas staff serving you up a cheeseburger in Oldfield-designed floor-length gowns. "Would you like fries with that...?"
