Psst... Bruce Oldfield goes from gowns to McDonald's staff uniforms

rex_151603a.jpgIt's perhaps the strangest collaboration I've heard on the grapevine for a while. British designer Bruce Oldfield, best known for his occasion wear and for dressing the likes of Princess Diana (see him pictured left with Diana in 1988), is apparently going to design a new staff uniform for McDonald's... uh-huh!

The news was uncovered by Jessica Brinton of the Sunday Times' Style magazine, whose friend caught a glimpse of a 2008 McDonald's marketing strategy over a fellow passenger's shoulder on, where else, but the Tube.

I can just picture it now, Maccas staff serving you up a cheeseburger in Oldfield-designed floor-length gowns. "Would you like fries with that...?"

heyy i work at mcdonalds and they put the pictures of the uniform in the magazine(they did a catwalk thing in Poland - fashion capital or what?)and it doesn't look too great tbh, I think the managers get new suits and stuff but I just get a new hat, badge and beige on my shirt instead of grey woo!:)

Have your say: do you agree or disagree?
