Mulberry branches out into footwear with Jonathan Kelsey

If you're a fan of Mulberry and shoes then get excited! The iconic British label is branching out into footwear thanks to top shoe designer Jonathan Kelsey.

Kelsey, who also happens to be the cousin of Mulberry former creative director Stuart Vevers, will design a five-piece capsule collection featuring of pumps and riding boots in shades of plum, coffee and grey.

A footwear range was always on the cards for Mulberry, with Kelsey's design ethos said to be an excellent fit for the brand. "We are currently committed to autumn '08 and spring '09, and if this goes well, we'd like to further develop footwear in the future," said a company spokesperson.

The range will debut at Mulberry's Bond St showroom on February 14 during London Fashion Week and is expected to hit stores in September this year. [Source]
