Modern quirky goes '80s with a glam take on electro-chic

I loved the sweet embroidery on Alice McCall's high waisted skirt (5. £125 at Bunny Hug), which stops it being prim and makes it super-quirky instead. Obviously detail like that deserves to be shown off, so I'd team it with a tucked-in fitted tee (1. £21 at American Apparel). The bright electric blue picks up the same shade in the embroidery and gives a bit of an 80s feel to the whole ensemble, which is enhanced even more with a cropped jacket (2. £35 at Topshop. Swap it for a leather biker jacket or a tuxedo style blazer if you're not sure about the boxy shape). Finally, I'd add some bold accessories - sparkly blue shoes (6. £25 at Office) and a perspex necklace (3. £12 at Punky Pins) - and some glossy red nail polish (4. £9.50 at HQHair).
