Melrose print dress from Miss Selfridge

Seeing as it's nearly Australia Day I'm starting to think about summer clothing. I first spotted this 'dress' in Miss Selfridge on Oxford Street whilst shopping recently. It was positioned next to the swimwear and my slightly fashion-impaired friend asked me if it was a kaftan. (She only knows the word 'kaftan' because of a holiday conversation we had had a few hours previous.) Whilst it is not a kaftan, I'm not really sure how to describe it. The material and coverage it provides is similar to that of a night dress, however, it is far to bright and exciting to be able to sleep in.

It would be ideal if you were on holiday and hate your stomach (like I do) and need a cover-up whilst still tanning your shoulders. Alternatively, you could wear it over jeans or shorts for a summers day outfit. It's £20 from Miss Selfridge.
