Lucy Liu's 'fashion disaster' at Valentino's Haute Couture show

lucyliuvalentino.jpgThe Daily Mail called Lucy Liu's outfit for the Valentino Haute Couture show a 'fashion disaster' saying her giant cloak looks like a 'marshmallow'. Carrying on with the sweet things metaphor they described it as an 'oversized candy-pink buff ball cloak looking more ridiculous than red carpet fabulous'.

Hang on a minute, I don't think it's a fashion disaster at all, in fact I love it! I'm not sure about the pink and purple colour combo but the layered fabric cape is gorgeous and adds an edge to her simple purple frock. Liu has obviously been influenced by her Cashmere Mafia stylist Patricia Field whose OTT style made Carrie Bradshaw headline material in Sex and the City. • The colors are iffy, but that cape is fantastic! Plus, if you can't be risky at a couture show, there is no hope for flamboyancy.
