Keira Knightley the British women's beauty icon of 2007

Keira Knightley has been named the leading beauty icon of 2007, beating out the likes of Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham, Lily Allen and Katie Price (aka Jordan). The UK chain, Superdrug, polled 2,500 people in December, with the Atonement actress the most popular beauty icon. Fittingly, Knightley is the face of Chanel fragrance, Coco Mademoiselle and had graced magazine covers all around the world.

Superdrug beauty director Katherine Le Clerc said, ‘The top 10 beauty icons list shows that today there is room for everyone’s idea of true beauty. From the aloof glamour of Keira Knightley and Victoria Beckham’s high-maintenance gloss to the fresh-faced youthful looks of Fearne Cotton, Holly Willoughby and Gemma Atkinson.’

According to reports, Jordan beat out Paris Hilton to get the number 10 slot, with Kate Moss the oldest woman in the top 10 at 33.
