Jaeger's Harold Tillman replaces Stuart Rose as chairman of the British Fashion Council
We can't go anywhere at the moment without hearing the word 'Jaeger'. Kate Moss is wearing their clothes, they're showing at London Fashion Week for the first time, and now dapper chairman Harold Tillman has been named the successor to Sir Stuart Rose as chairman of the British Fashion Council.
Tillman is an alumni of The London College of Fashion (all the best people are *cough*) and has always been a big supporter of new talent. Not only did he 'discover' Paul Smith, he created a £1 scholarship programme for LCF students, and mentors people like Project Catwalk's Matthew Bowkett (who got £5000 and an internship from the generous billionaire). It's great to see someone with such passion taking over such an important, prestigious role, and we can't wait to see how he handles the responsibility when Sir Stuart steps down after February's Fashion Week.
